Deck overview

Mister Fantastic rewards a deck that casts noncreature spells before combat. The deck uses ordinary ramp and fixing to deploy the commander, then turns spells into cards, creature tokens, counters, and combat advantages. Jeskai Ascendancy, Valeria Richards, Precocious, Whirlwind of Thought, and The Fantasticar provide the strongest scaling engines, while The Thing and Human Torch are the main combat payoffs. The deck has respectable spot removal, sweepers, and protection, but its access is mostly draw-based and its main threats require several permanents, a combat step, and often four colors of mana. Its ordinary operation begins around turn 6, with a credible combat threat around turn 8. It can produce explosive turns when several trigger doublers and noncreature spells align, but those draws are not a dependable table-kill plan. The construction is therefore a general multiplayer value-combat deck rather than a competitive combo or lock deck.
