Deck overview

This Boros deck is an aggressive Equipment Voltron build centered on Lightning, Army of One. Lightning leverages built-in first strike, trample, lifelink, and her Stagger mechanic to double all subsequent damage dealt to a defending player. The deck accelerates into early equipment deployment through low-cost tutors such as Stoneforge Mystic, Steelshaper's Gift, and Open the Armory, while bypassing heavy equip costs with enablers like Sigarda's Aid, Forge Anew, and Puresteel Paladin. Once Lightning is equipped with high-impact armaments like Colossus Hammer, Sword of Feast and Famine, or The Reaver Cleaver, damage doublers and extra combat spells rapidly dismantle opposing life totals. The list also packs an infinite combat loop using Aggravated Assault and Sword of Feast and Famine alongside a premier suite of protective spells including Deflecting Swat, Boros Charm, and Teferi's Protection.
