Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Eldrazi kindred strategy helmed by Azlask, the Swelling Scourge. The primary game plan revolves around generating wide swarms of 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn and 1/1 Eldrazi Scion tokens through cards like Writhing Chrysalis, Awakening Zone, and Brood Monitor. As these colorless creatures die or sacrifice themselves for mana, Azlask accumulates experience counters. Once a critical mass of tokens and counters is reached, the deck activates Azlask's {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} ability to pump the board, grant all Scions and Spawns indestructible, and give them annihilator 1. This overwhelming combat swing decimates opponent life totals and boards simultaneously. In addition to go-wide combat, the deck features devastating high-cost colorless Eldrazi titans such as Void Winnower and Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, alongside an infinite flicker loop between Eldrazi Displacer and Brood Monitor that generates infinite death triggers and experience counters to close out stalled games.
