Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir tempo build focused on Ninja tribal synergies and combat triggers led by Taeko, the Patient Avalanche. The game plan opens with evasive 1-drops such as Changeling Outcast and Mist-Cloaked Herald to enable early ninjutsu activations. Swapping attackers back to hand fuels continuous card draw through Ninja of the Deep Hours, Ingenious Infiltrator, and Satoru, the Infiltrator. As creatures repeatedly leave the battlefield without dying, Taeko accumulates +1/+1 counters and scry triggers while granting unblockable attacks for {U/B}. Mid-to-late game pressure comes from high-impact saboteurs like Fallen Shinobi, Silent-Blade Oni, and Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow, which steal opposing spells and burn the table. Low-cost counterspells and asymmetric bounce spells like Raise the Palisade keep opponents off-balance while your unblockable attackers close the game over multiple combat steps.
