Deck overview

This mono-black Commander deck is piloted by Ghoulcaller Gisa, focusing on a classic Zombie typal strategy that merges go-wide token swarm with aristocrat drain synergies. The game plan centers on ramping into Gisa, deploying high-power sacrifice fodder, and converting individual creatures into large armies of 2/2 black Zombie tokens. Synergistic lords such as Death Baron, Undead Warchief, and Lord of the Accursed grant anthems, deathtouch, and menace to make the token army lethal in combat. Card draw engines like Cryptbreaker, Undead Augur, and Graveborn Muse keep the hand full of threats, while recursion pieces like Gravecrawler and Lord of the Undead recycle sacrificed resources. When combat stalls, burst life-loss cards like Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Vengeful Dead bypass blockers to drain the table. The deck plays a fair, highly synergistic mid-game strategy that overwhelms opponents through sustained creature presence and resilient board generation.
