Deck overview

This deck is a focused Dimir Zombie Aristocrats build piloted by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. It functions by generating disposable decayed Zombie tokens to fuel steady card draw and sacrifice triggers. The primary path to victory revolves around an infinite sacrifice loop utilizing Gravecrawler and Phyrexian Altar, pairing them with drain payoffs such as Diregraf Captain or Plague Belcher to eliminate all opponents simultaneously. Strong black tutors (Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Buried Alive) ensure consistent access to combo components, while a potent suite of cheap counterspells and removal provides defense and disruption. If the combo is contested, the deck seamlessly transitions into a resilient midrange strategy, leveraging anthem lords, swampwalk enablers like Zombie Master and Filth, and mass reanimation from Living Death to overwhelm the table in combat.
