Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Selesnya midrange deck that converts incidental lifegain into rapid power growth. Led by Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn, the deck uses low-cost lifegain enablers such as Soul Warden, Guide of Souls, and Auriok Champion to trigger massive end-step +1/+1 counter distribution. As lifelink attackers grow larger, each combat generates compounding life totals and larger counter waves. The deck features evasive threats like Voice of the Blessed and Abzan Falconer to bypass ground defenses, closing games around Turn 7 with combat overruns such as Akroma's Will or Overwhelming Stampede. It also includes an infinite combo between Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Spike Feeder for instant-speed life and counter generation. With 10 dedicated low-cost protection spells, the deck reliably shields its board from sweepers and targeted removal while developing its overwhelming board state.
