Fear & Loathing in Umbris by asandyumbrella

Format: Commander

Commander: Umbris, Fear Manifest

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Umbris, Fear Manifest leads a Dimir Horror tribal deck that wins by exiling opponents' libraries and growing a lethal attacker. Each Nightmare or Horror that enters makes a target opponent exile until a land, and Umbris gets +1/+1 for each card opponents own in exile. The primary plan is commander damage with evasion after building exile count. The secondary path is milling opponents out, most cleanly with Fraying Sanity plus kicked Maddening Cacophony. Value Horrors like Toxrill, Sludge Monster, and Captain N'ghathrod control the board, generate tokens, and steal threats while Panharmonicon and Thassa double triggers. Hullbreaker Horror with Sol Ring makes infinite mana but has no outlet here, so it serves as engine and bounce control.
