Staging A Coup by Komma

Format: Commander

Commander: Marchesa, the Black Rose

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Marchesa, the Black Rose commands a Grixis aristocrats and midrange combat strategy focused on modular recursion and incremental life total pressure. The deck uses the dethrone mechanic to distribute plus one plus one counters across attacking creatures, ensuring Marchesa returns them to the battlefield whenever they die. Sacrifice outlets like Yahenni, Undying Partisan and Immersturm Predator convert this recurring board presence into steady card advantage, targeted removal, and board protection. As the game develops, you overwhelm the table through repeated enters-the-battlefield triggers from threats like Grave Titan, direct life drain from The Meathook Massacre, and high-impact flings using Voldaren Thrillseeker and Juri, Master of the Revue.
