Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Boros artifact stompy strategy commanded by Sami, Wildcat Captain. The early game focuses on deploying artifact lands and cheap cantrips like Ichor Wellspring, Lembas, and Golden Egg. These low-cost permanents replace themselves in hand while rapidly inflating the board's artifact count. On Turn 4, Sami, Wildcat Captain enters for just {R}{W} due to affinity, immediately granting affinity for artifacts to every spell in the deck. On Turn 5, this discount allows colossal colorless threats like Kozilek, Butcher of Truth, The Endstone, Depthshaker Titan, and Portal to Phyrexia to be cast for near-zero mana. The deck overwhelms opponents with massive trampling beaters and asymmetric board clearing, backed by proactive protection from Defense Grid and Spider-Punk. If disrupted, mass recursion like Wake the Past quickly resets the board.
