Smauging it by Viznexity

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug, Wicked Worm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug, Wicked Worm leads a Rakdos treasure-and-dragon engine. The deck banks Treasures from her ETB and attack triggers, then uses them to fuel her draw trigger and cast high-impact spells. The primary plan is to build a critical mass of Treasures, convert them into a burst kill through Mirkwood Bats and Reckless Fireweaver, or win with Hellkite Tyrant's artifact-count condition. There and Back Again is the key burst enabler, and the other Smaug legends act as alternative treasure payoffs. The commander draws cards while the deck ramps, but the deck has enough independent engines to keep functioning if she is answered.
