Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages Yargle and Multani as a massive 18-power engine piece in the command zone. Rather than relying solely on traditional combat damage, the deck uses its commander's enormous power stat to draw massive amounts of cards through spells like Greater Good, Momentous Fall, and Life's Legacy. Once 15 to 18 cards are drawn in a single burst, the deck easily chains into game-ending payoffs such as Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, Overwhelming Stampede, or Rite of Consumption. Dense 1-2 CMC acceleration ensures the commander lands on Turn 4, while high-efficiency protection like Not of This World keeps key plays safe. Backup high-power creatures like Phyrexian Soulgorger and Rotting Regisaur guarantee that the draw and sacrifice engines continue functioning even if the commander is disrupted.
