Deck overview

This is a Golgari midrange deck built around Shelob, Child of Ungoliant that fuses Spider tribal with a Food token sub-theme. The commander grants all Spiders deathtouch and ward {2}, turning even a 1/1 into a removal magnet, while her death trigger turns enemy creatures that died to Spider damage into Food tokens - a recursive source of life gain and sacrifice fuel. The deck's game plan is to ramp into a dense swarm of Spider tokens, use deathtouch to control the board, and convert that insectile army into card advantage via death-trigger draw engines (Moldervine Reclamation, Deathreap Ritual) and Food-centered value (Trail of Crumbs, Peregrin Took). The primary win condition is a wide, deathtouch-laden battlefield pushed over the top by anthem effects like Wall Crawl and Insatiable Frugivore's sacrifice-pump. Spider Spawning and Osteomancer Adept provide resilience, while Arachnogenesis and Druid's Deliverance keep the board alive through a critical swing.
