Deck overview

The Wise Mothman leads a value-oriented mill deck that converts nonland cards milled into +1/+1 counters. Cheap crabs, Mesmeric Orb, rad counters, and larger mill spells build the graveyard while growing the board. Hardened Scales, Kami of Whispered Hopes, Bristly Bill, Spine Sower, and Innkeeper's Talent amplify those counters. Herald of Secret Streams and Kodama of the West Tree turn the board into combat pressure. The deck also contains a conditional Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank loop, but it is not assembled or enabled consistently enough to define the ordinary clock. Ramp and fixing are strong for a mid-power deck, and the interaction suite is broad enough to answer common threats. Its main weakness is that milling, card draw, and combat damage do not combine into a deterministic table finish. It usually creates a threatening board around turn 8, then needs several exposed attack steps.
