Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Mono-Red Aggro-Stax deck centered around Slicer, Hired Muscle. By casting Slicer on Turn 2 via its More Than Meets the Eye alternate cost, the deck forces opponents to pass Slicer around the table under goad. Because Slicer possesses double strike and haste, it attacks four times per table rotation, dealing an initial 24 commander damage before scaling rapidly with equipment like O-Naginata or Beamtown Beatstick. To protect this aggressive clock, the deck deploys potent asymmetric stax artifacts such as Blood Moon, Winter Moon, Cursed Totem, and Damping Sphere. These lock pieces disrupt opposing manabases, creature activations, and combo lines while Slicer operates entirely unimpeded on basic Mountain mana. Redirection spells and anti-blue countermagic provide tactical defense against removal, allowing the deck to eliminate all three opponents in rapid succession by Turn 4 or 5.
