Commander: The Reaper, King No More

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Jund -1/-1 counters value deck helmed by The Reaper, King No More, a cheap hybrid-mana commander that steals creatures from opponents when they die with -1/-1 counters. The deck floods the board with -1/-1 counter sources-Black Sun's Zenith, Toxic Deluge, Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Necroskitter, Blowfly Infestation-and leverages them for token generation (Nest of Scarabs, Hapatra), card draw (The Scorpion God, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician), and life drain (Obelisk Spider). Win conditions include combat damage from stolen creatures and deathtouch snakes, the Kulrath Knight + Maha, Its Feathers Night lock that shuts down opponents' attacks, and incremental drain from Obelisk Spider. The deck is a grindy midrange strategy that aims to out-value opponents through repeated -1/-1 counter triggers and theft.
