Deck overview

This mono-white stax deck focuses on asymmetric resource denial and decisive lockout combinations. Headed by Hokori, Dust Drinker, the deck deploys early fast mana like Mana Vault, Chrome Mox, and Sol Ring to cast oppressive rule-setting pieces on the first few turns. Cards like Trinisphere, Winter Orb, Static Orb, and Thorn of Amethyst severely constrain opponents' mana and spell output. The deck breaks parity by leveraging colorless artifact mana rocks and static cost-reducers that function through untap restrictions. It transitions from early attrition into a decisive hard lock using Drannith Magistrate paired with Knowledge Pool, completely preventing opponents from casting spells. Alternatively, the deck can assemble an artifact storm loop with Mystic Forge, Cloud Key, and Sensei's Divining Top to draw the entire library and eliminate all three opponents with Glaring Fleshraker or Walking Ballista.
