Deck overview

This deck is a Temur midrange engine built around Loot, the Pathfinder. Loot provides an extraordinary combination of keywords—double strike, vigilance, and haste—alongside three distinct exhaust abilities that produce mana, draw cards, and deal direct damage. The game plan accelerates mana in the early turns using efficient dorks, rocks, and land search spells to deploy Loot by Turn 4. On Turn 5, Loot attacks safely thanks to vigilance and taps to draw three fresh cards. The deck then uses flicker effects such as Ghostly Flicker, Displace, and Displacer Kitten to reset Loot as a new game object, refreshing its exhaust abilities to generate explosive bursts of mana, draw, and burn. High-end finishers like Terror of the Peaks, Craterclaw Colossus, and Deadeye Navigator translate this card and mana surplus into lethal pressure, closing out the game across Turns 7 and 8 under the protection of efficient counterspells and hexproof spells.
