Deck overview

This deck is a four-color Polymorph Control deck helmed by Jace, Multiverse Architect. The primary strategy focuses on deploying low-cost token generators in the opening turns, casting Jace on Turn 4, and immediately activating his -3 loyalty ability to exile a token and cheat a game-warping threat onto the battlefield. The 99-card library contains an overwhelming lineup of 22 high-impact creatures and planeswalkers, ranging from one-shot finishers like Blightsteel Colossus to asymmetric board locks like Toxrill, the Corrosive, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, and Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant. Backup polymorph enablers such as Divergent Transformations, Proteus Staff, and Mass Polymorph provide resilience if the commander is removed. In addition to crushing combat damage and stax attrition, the deck harbors a potent two-card infinite combo between Astral Dragon and Cursed Mirror that creates infinite hasty Dragon tokens. Backed by efficient white spot removal, sweepers, and free protection spells, the deck reliably seizes control on Turn 5 and closes games around Turn 7.
