Deck overview

This deck is a competitive Sultai combo list helmed by Thranduil, the Elvenking, designed to exploit the activated abilities of Elf cards in the graveyard. By leveraging powerful graveyard tutors such as Buried Alive and Entomb, the deck bins Devoted Druid and Greenhilt Trainee. Because Thranduil starts with 5 base power, it can tap to grant itself +4/+4 via Greenhilt Trainee's ability and untap by placing a -1/-1 counter via Devoted Druid's ability. Repeating this loop yields infinite power, infinite green mana, and infinite colored mana through Selvala, Heart of the Wilds. The deck then draws its entire library using Deepwood Denizen to finish with Thassa's Oracle or drain the table with Deathrite Shaman. Supported by format-ceiling fast mana, free countermagic, Hermit Druid with zero basic lands, and redundant engines in Necrotic Ooze and Agatha's Soul Cauldron, the deck reliably threatens same-turn victories on Turn 3.
