Deck overview

This list is an optimized competitive Commander deck helmed by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. It operates on a potent hybrid game plan: leveraging aggressive Turn 1 evasive creatures to trigger Commander Ninjutsu by Turn 2, which bypasses commander tax, generates steady card advantage, and applies substantial table-wide burn. Backed by premier stax pieces like Null Rod and Cursed Totem that ignore Yuriko's hand-based Ninjutsu abilities, the deck slows down faster combo opponents while sustaining high card velocity. The primary win condition is the compact and lethal Thassa's Oracle paired with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact, executable on Turn 4 with dense free counterspell protection. If the primary combo is disrupted or preemptively halted, the deck effortlessly transitions to an oppressive attrition and burn strategy, manipulating the top of the library with cards like Lim-Dûl's Vault to repeatedly drain the entire table with high-cost cards such as Shadow of Mortality and Temporal Trespass.
