Deck overview

This Selesnya aggro deck turns Kudo, King Among Bears into a powerful asymmetrical advantage engine. Kudo sets the base power and toughness of all other creatures to 2/2. While this shrinks massive opposing threats, dragons, and commanders down to bear stats, your own small utility creatures grow substantially through layer 7c modifications. The deck layers +1/+1 counter amplifiers like Hardened Scales, Ozolith, the Shattered Spire, and Kami of Whispered Hopes on top of this 2/2 floor. As your creatures quickly swell to 5/5 and larger, cards like Champion of Lambholt and Kodama of the West Tree make your board impossible for opposing 2/2s to block profitably. High-impact finishers such as Unnatural Growth and Vigor close the game across turns 5 to 7. A dedicated suite of low-cost protection spells, highlighted by Clever Concealment and Inspiring Call, shields the board from sweepers and removal.
