Deck overview

This Bant deck is a high-synergy combat engine commanded by Arcades, the Strategist. The strategy leverages low-cost defender creatures with disproportionately high toughness to establish an impenetrable early defense while accelerating mana. Once Arcades, the Strategist enters the battlefield, every defender cantrips on entry and attacks by assigning combat damage equal to its toughness. The deck rapidly fills its hand, deploying massive threats like The Walls of Ba Sing Se, Wall of Denial, and The Pride of Hull Clade at minimal mana cost. Combat dominance is finalized using unblockable enablers like Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive, trample from Primal Rage, or one-shot lethal infect from Triumph of the Hordes. Redundant backup enablers like Baldin, Century Herdmaster and Plagon, Lord of the Beach ensure resilience, while Meekstone and Wave of Reckoning create brutal asymmetric advantages against traditional creature decks.
