Ragnarok Divine Deliverance by user3755339

Format: Commander

Commander: Vanille, Cheerful l'Cie

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Golgari graveyard-value deck built around the meld mechanic. Vanille, Cheerful l'Cie is both a value engine - milling two and returning a permanent from the graveyard to hand - and the front half of a two-card meld with Fang, Fearless l'Cie, which sits in the 99 as a hidden partner. If both resolve, paying {3}{B}{G} at the beginning of the first main phase exiles the pair into Ragnarok, Divine Deliverance, a high-ceiling payoff that can end the game quickly. The deck is not a combo deck. It wins with repeated graveyard-fueled threats: Tifa Lockhart doubling off landfall, Neo Exdeath, Dimension's End scaling with the graveyard, Emil, Vastlands Roamer creating Fractal tokens, and The Warring Triad becoming an evasive 5/5. Life-drain effects like Marauding Blight-Priest and Sneering Shadewriter add reach. The plan is slow and grindy, with a mediocre tutor package and almost no stack interaction.
