Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Fire Lord Azula leads a combat-focused spellslinger deck that uses attack triggers to fuel powerful instant-speed spell chains. Whenever Fire Lord Azula attacks, she generates two red mana and copies every spell cast while she is attacking. The deck capitalizes on this window by casting combat tricks, extra combat spells, and burn spells directly in combat. With flash enablers like Leyline of Anticipation and High Fae Trickster, even heavy sorceries can be doubled. Primary win conditions involve stacking massive combat damage through copied pump spells like Fists of Flame, taking additional combats with Great Train Heist, or burning out opponents with magecraft triggers from Guttersnipe and Thousand-Year Storm.
