Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Villain typal and discard-synergy midrange strategy helmed by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The deck operates by developing on-curve Villain creatures, deploying Doctor Doom on Turn 4, and utilizing combat connive triggers to sculpt hand quality, grow attackers with +1/+1 counters, and burn opponents with land discards. Synergistic engines like Containment Construct, Moonstone, Harsh Mistress, and Mayhem creatures convert discarded resources into extra board presence. The deck applies mounting pressure through combat, scaling its army with anthems like Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon and The Squadron Sinister while disrupting opposing boards with Archfiend of Ifnir and selective removal. Lacking infinite combos or fast mana, it aims to close games around Turn 9 through evasive combat damage and incremental life drain.
