Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Landfall Burn deck commanded by Tannuk, Memorial Ensign. The core game plan focuses on deploying early ramp spells and basic lands to cast Tannuk on Turn 3. On Turn 4, the deck achieves usable assembly by triggering double landfall to burn each opponent and draw extra cards. As the game progresses, it stacks redundant landfall pingers like Tunneling Geopede, Sabotender, and Koth, the Geomancer alongside powerful damage amplifiers such as Torbran, Thane of Red Fell and Fiery Emancipation. Explosive spells like Nahiri's Lithoforming and Hew the Entwood generate massive bursts of direct damage to all opponents simultaneously. The deck reaches a critical must-answer board state by Turn 6 and typically closes the game by Turn 8 through accumulated burn and creature combat.
