Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Bird tribal aggro-tempo deck led by Kastral, the Windcrested. The strategy focuses on deploying cheap, evasive flying creatures during the early turns and casting Kastral on Turn 4 or 5. By attacking multiple opponents in combat, Kastral generates card advantage, distributes +1/+1 counters, and reanimates fallen Birds. The deck accelerates its damage output through tribal anthems like Empyrean Eagle, Murmuration, and Banner of Kinship, and closes games with powerful asymmetric cards such as Raise the Palisade and True Conviction. A robust interaction suite of efficient counterspells and instant-speed removal protects the board and disrupts opposing strategies. While the deck relies on combat damage across multiple turn cycles, its flying evasion, consistent card draw, and defensive resilience allow it to steadily outpace and overwhelm opponents.
