Deck overview

Ghoulcaller Gisa leads a mono-black Zombie tribal and aristocrats strategy designed to convert high-power sacrifice fodder into massive armies of 2/2 Zombie tokens. The deck uses efficient early-game beaters with oversized power, such as Rotting Regisaur, Kalakscion, Hunger Tyrant, and Yargle, Glutton of Urborg, as fuel for Gisa's activated ability. Once Gisa untaps, sacrificing one of these creatures immediately generates 7 to 9 Zombie tokens, creating a massive board presence in a single turn. The deck capitalizes on this swarm through two overlapping victory avenues: overwhelming combat damage and aristocrats life drain. Tribal lords like Undead Warchief, Death Baron, and Lord of the Accursed grant substantial power buffs, deathtouch, and menace to push through opposing blockers. Simultaneously, death-trigger payoffs including Plague Belcher, Vengeful Dead, Ayara, First of Locthwain, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel drain opponents' life totals directly. Supported by recursion, resilient draw engines, and one-sided sweepers like Noxious Ghoul, the deck delivers steady, compounding pressure.
