New Untitled Deck

Commander: Zaxara, the Exemplary

Bracket: 3

DeckCheck Threat Index: 35

Deck overview

This deck leverages Zaxara, the Exemplary as both a ramp engine and an army builder. By casting large X-cost spells, it creates massive Hydra creature tokens alongside primary threats. Mana acceleration from 1-2 CMC dorks and rocks ensures Zaxara enters early, unlocking explosive mid-game turns powered by counter doublers like Branching Evolution and Kalonian Hydra. Draw engines such as Garruk's Uprising and Elemental Bond trigger off both the cast spell and the generated token, providing continuous card advantage. The deck wins by overrunning the table with massive trampling or unblockable creatures via Overwhelming Stampede and Herald of Secret Streams, or by channeling excess mana into a game-ending Exsanguinate. While resilient against single-target removal thanks to instant-speed protection and redundant beaters, it remains vulnerable to mass exile sweepers.
