Deck overview

Vihaan, Goldwaker leads an aggressive Mardu token deck that transforms everyday Treasure tokens into lethal combat threats. The primary strategy revolves around establishing early Treasure generators like Magda, Brazen Outlaw, Professional Face-Breaker, and Smothering Tithe, then deploying Vihaan, Goldwaker on Turn 4. At the beginning of combat, Vihaan turns all controlled Treasures into 3/3 Construct Assassin creatures with vigilance and haste, enabling massive combat swings while preserving those same artifacts to tap for mana or sacrifice post-combat. The deck applies compounding pressure through direct damage engines such as Mayhem Devil, Reckless Fireweaver, and Pactdoll Terror, while scaling attack power with Gratuitous Violence and Great Train Heist. Alternate victory routes via Hellkite Tyrant and tutor chains with Magda, Brazen Outlaw ensure high resilience if the commander is removed. One-sided sweepers like Ruinous Ultimatum and targeted protection from Shadow the Hedgehog and Bolt Bend keep your engine safe as you overwhelm the table.
