Deck overview

This Golgari deck pairs Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar with the Master Chef background to turn undercosted, high-power creatures into massive card advantage and board presence. Utilizing over-statted beaters like Rotting Regisaur, Daemogoth Titan, and Phyrexian Soulgorger, the deck accelerates into play and sacrifices them to Shadowheart to draw 7 to 11 cards in a single burst. With an overflowing hand, it deploys asymmetric sacrifice locks through Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos, builds insurmountable board states with Ghalta and counter doublers, and leverages persist creatures like Putrid Goblin alongside free sacrifice outlets for continuous value and combo finishes. While vulnerable to well-timed spot removal before Shadowheart activates, the sheer volume of resources drawn allows the deck to rebuild rapidly and close games reliably by Turn 8.
