Azula by jlupton

Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Fire Lord Azula heads a Grixis spellslinger deck built around her attack trigger: every spell cast while she attacks is copied, and she adds two red mana during combat. The deck ramps into Azula on turn four, then assembles a copy engine with Thousand-Year Storm, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Narset's Reversal to turn a single instant into a mana-positive storm loop, finishing through Guttersnipe damage or Archmage Emeritus card draw. Azula, Cunning Usurper acts as a supporting second Azula that exiles cards and lets them be cast from exile. The primary line is powerful but color-demanding and vulnerable to instant-speed removal; Hullbreaker Horror plus Sol Ring is a slower backup, and rituals and flash enablers make the combat step decisive.
