Deck overview

This Dimir deck combines self-mill, graveyard value, and control elements under the leadership of Uldaros Theorix. Early turns focus on sculpting the hand and stocking the graveyard with diverse card types using cantrips like Brainstorm, surveil creatures, and self-mill spells such as Ballad of the Black Flag and Omit Variables. Once the graveyard is primed, casting Uldaros Theorix on Turn 6 creates an immediate, high-impact board state by casting up to six mana value worth of copied spells for free across multiple card types. The deck supplements this strategy with the Empower Jace mechanic, generating loyalty on planeswalker tokens and powering up Jace, Reality Sculptor and Way of the Cryomancer. Defensive tools like Propaganda, stun counters from Hapatra, the Desert Frost, and cheap countermagic keep the pilot safe until large token threats from Ominous Seas and evasive Sphinxes close out the game over subsequent combat turns.
