Deck overview

This deck is a casual Dimir midrange build centered around Kang, Temporal Tyrant. It aims to leverage combat-based card filtering and incremental drain to wear down opponents over time. The game plan focuses on deploying small utility creatures on early turns, casting Kang on turn 4, and attacking on turn 5 to initiate a steady cycle of connive triggers and second-draw life loss. Supported by combat damage triggers like Soulknife Spy and Tomebound Lich, the deck gradually builds a resilient creature presence featuring threats like Doc Ock, Sinister Scientist. Lacking fast mana rocks and efficient tutors, the deck operates at baseline mana parity, developing through land drops and basic draw spells. Interaction is focused on single-target creature debuffs, tempo bounces such as You Come to a River, and a pair of three-mana counterspells. The deck wins by using Sleep or evasive fliers to push through sustained combat damage across multiple turn rotations.
