Format: Commander

Commander: The Serpent Society

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari poison/attrition deck built around The Serpent Society, which turns the deaths of your deathtouch creatures into a table-wide sacrifice effect. The deck is low to the ground, deploying cheap deathtouch and Toxic creatures, then trying to close the game through poison counters. Fynn, the Fangbearer is effectively the hidden commander: he converts every deathtouch combat hit into two poison counters, and Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider doubles the counters you place on players. Proliferate effects such as Drown in Ichor, Smell Fear, and Unnatural Restoration accelerate the clock. A modest recursion package built around Vat of Rebirth, Vat Emergence, and Vile Entomber keeps the small bodies coming back. There are no infinite combos; this is a grindy, fair deck that wins through poison accumulation and, secondarily, by grinding out value with the commander's edict trigger and Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern.
