Format: Commander

Commander: Obeka, Splitter of Seconds

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Grixis deck is built around Obeka, Splitter of Seconds' extra-upkeep trigger. The primary plan is to put a Court (especially Court of Ambition or Court of Ire) on the battlefield, make Obeka unblockable and/or double striking, and convert her combat damage into a chain of upkeeps that drains or mills the table. Secondary plans use suspend cards, Jhoira, and As Foretold to cheat on mana, with Mechanized Production/Replicating Ring as a slow alternate win. The commander is both the engine and the finisher; if she is neutralized or cannot attack, the deck has very little redundancy. The manabase is a slightly greedy three-color setup with many tapped lands.
