Deck overview

This Sultai deck is an optimized X-spell and +1/+1 counter engine commanded by Zaxara, the Exemplary. The primary strategy uses early two-mana ramp to deploy Zaxara on Turn 3, establishing a two-mana tap source and an engine that creates a Hydra token whenever any X-cost spell is cast. The primary win condition leverages an infinite mana loop between Zaxara and Freed from the Real or Pemmin's Aura, tapping Zaxara for two mana and untapping it for one blue mana repeatedly. With infinite mana generated across all colors, the deck finishes the game immediately through table-wide drain spells such as Exsanguinate and Torment of Hailfire, or by casting Finale of Devastation for an overwhelming combat attack. Alternatively, counter multipliers like Doubling Season and Unbound Flourishing fuel massive Hydra beatdown backed by evasion and interaction.
