Deck overview

Smaug, Wicked Worm leads a Rakdos Treasure deck that converts artifact tokens into powerful card draw and mana. The primary plan is to ramp into Smaug on turn three or four, use his enter trigger and other engines like Smaug the Magnificent and Professional Face-Breaker to build a hoard, then close the game with Mirkwood Bats or Mayhem Devil drains, or with an infinite Dualcaster Mage and Molten Duplication army. The commander also acts as a repeatable draw engine whenever Treasure mana is spent. Strong board control from Blasphemous Act, Toxic Deluge, and Kindred Dominance protects the plan, while Toralf, God of Fury turns a board wipe into a damage chain. The Rise of Sozin offers late-game reanimation.
