Lorehold the Historian by user6232976

Format: Commander

Commander: Lorehold, the Historian

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Lorehold, the Historian is the glue of a Boros spell-slinger deck built around looting at each opponent's upkeep and miracle {2} on every instant and sorcery. The 99 hides a second engine in Velomachus Lorehold, whose attack trigger casts a free spell from the top of the library, while Quintorius, Loremaster and Excava, the Risen Past turn the resulting graveyard and exile resources into Spirit tokens and recursive casts. The primary plan is to resolve Lorehold, use her draw-and-discard trigger to assemble dragons and payoff spells, then win through evasive combat and repeated free casts. Secondary lines include a commander-damage kill with Angelfire Ignition and Boros Charm, and late-game free-cast turns from Triple Triad and Bre of Clan Stoutarm.
