Deck overview

This deck is a midrange spider and insect tribal strategy helmed by Shelob, Child of Ungoliant. The primary game plan is to establish a wide board of deathtouch-laden spiders and insects, use reach to control the air, and grind out advantage through value-engine recursion and food-token copies. The commander grants deathtouch and ward to other spiders, turning even the smallest blockers into lethal deterrents. The deck wins through combat damage with a growing army, supplemented by life-loss triggers from cards like Ishkanah, Grafwidow and Aatchik, Emerald Radian. Secondary pathways rely on graveyard recursion via Zask, Skittering Swarmlord and token generation from Spider Spawning and The Hunger Tide Rises. The deck is deliberately paced, lacking fast mana or combo lines, and aims to out-value opponents over the long game.
