Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck uses Thada Adel, Acquisitor to steal artifacts from opponents' libraries while establishing board control through creature theft, countermagic, and mass bounce spells. In the early game, the deck uses low-cost cantrips and mana rocks to deploy Thada Adel by Turn 3 and attack on Turn 4, siphoning Sol Rings and utility artifacts from opposing decks. In the mid-to-late game, the strategy transitions into a controlling posture using cards like Control Magic, Treachery, and Vedalken Shackles to turn opposing threats against their owners. The deck closes games around Turn 11 by landing large leviathans such as Stormtide Leviathan alongside stolen beaters, dealing unblockable combat damage across multiple combat steps. While it possesses resilient card draw and broad removal, its reliance on slow combat damage across four response cycles leaves it vulnerable to well-timed board wipes.
