Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth to turn life into mana, accelerating explosive reanimation and storm wins. The primary game plan uses fast mana and dark rituals to cast K'rrik on Turn 2 or 3, followed immediately by graveyard tutors like Buried Alive or Entomb. Reanimating Necrotic Ooze with Asmodeus the Archfiend and Skirge Familiar in the graveyard allows you to draw your entire deck and generate mana, winning the same turn with Aetherflux Reservoir or Gray Merchant of Asphodel loops. Backup routes through Peer into the Abyss and Hoarding Broodlord provide redundant win conditions. While the deck possesses explosive speed and high tutor consistency, it is vulnerable to instant creature removal, graveyard hate, and rule-of-law stax due to a complete lack of reactive countermagic and enchantment removal.
