Deck overview

This Gruul deck is led by the partner pairing of Toggo, Goblin Weaponsmith and Kodama of the East Tree. It centers on turning Landfall triggers into massive board presence, mana advantage, and lethal burn. Early turns focus on accelerating mana through 1-2 CMC ramp spells and establishing Toggo. Once Kodama enters on Turn 4 or 5, every land drop creates a Rock token, which in turn allows Kodama to cheat an additional permanent from hand onto the battlefield. This engine quickly empties the hand into large threats such as Omnath, Locus of Rage, Rampaging Baloths, and Scute Swarm. With Gruul Turf, the deck can execute a loop of infinite Landfall and Rock tokens, ending games on the spot through Reckless Fireweaver or Tunneling Geopede. While resilient in long-game value, the deck lacks dense instant-speed interaction and countermagic protection.
