And My Axe! by cvance2388

Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin Oakenshield

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Boros Dwarf Equipment deck wins by building a single lethal Voltron attacker backed by a wide Dwarf board. Thorin Oakenshield is a cheap 3/2 trampler that gives your artifacts and creatures ward {1} once you have an enduring story, but the deck does not need him to function. The real engine is Equipment that adds massive power and protection, supported by Dwarf synergies. A secondary go-wide plan uses tokens from The Lonely Mountain and An Unexpected Party, pumped by Thorin, King of Durin's Folk and damage amplifiers like Fiery Emancipation, Torbran, and Mjolnir. Draw from Sram, Puresteel Paladin, and Kili keeps Equipment flowing. There are no infinite combos; you win through sequential combat damage, often unblockable or doubled.
