Deck overview

This deck is a synergy-focused Boros strategy commanded by Joshua, Phoenix's Dominant // Phoenix, Warden of Fire. It converts red's aggressive discard and wheel mechanics into tangible card velocity, board pressure, and graveyard advantage. Early turns focus on establishing mana rocks and deploying Joshua or auxiliary looting engines to churn through the library and seed the graveyard with high-impact creatures and utility pieces like Anger. In the midgame, the deck leverages discard-based damage engines such as Glint-Horn Buccaneer, Brallin, Skyshark Rider, and Magmakin Artillerist to drain the table while casting full-hand wheels. The deck closes games through explosive mass reanimation sorceries like Storm of Souls and Ascend from Avernus, or by executing an infinite combat loop with Aurelia, the Warleader and Helm of the Host. While resilient against traditional attrition, it remains vulnerable to targeted graveyard exile and lacks stack-based interaction.
