Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue spellslinger control strategy commanded by Eluge, the Shoreless Sea. The game plan revolves around rapidly placing flood counters on lands through casting and blinking Eluge with cheap spells such as Splash Portal and Essence Flux. Each flood counter reduces the cost of the first instant or sorcery cast on every player's turn, allowing the deck to hold up powerful interaction like Counterspell, Cryptic Command, and Sublime Epiphany for virtually zero mana. As the game develops, these free or heavily discounted spells trigger potent payoff engines, including Talrand, Sky Summoner, Shark Typhoon, and Poppet Stitcher, generating large armies of evasive tokens. In the late game, asymmetric board resets like Cyclonic Rift and Scourge of Fleets clear opposing blockers, enabling lethal attacks through token swarms and massive commander damage from Eluge.
