Format: Commander

Commander: Bard, King of Dale

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Bard, King of Dale is the deck's engine, turning every draw and token creation into an exponential advantage. The primary plan is to resolve Bard, then use cheap looters and draw spells to fill the hand while Ominous Seas, Minn, Emrakul's Messenger, and The Watcher in the Water convert cards into tokens. Teferi's Ageless Insight and Exalted Sunborn stack with Bard, and token copies of Bard multiply the effect further. The backup plan uses Mind Over Matter with tap-draw creatures (usually with Unctus) to draw huge chunks and generate mana before a mass-combat turn. There is no separate hidden commander; all paths ultimately funnel into an overwhelming attack with Knowledge Is Power and/or Akroma's Will.
