Arcades, the Strategist is a trap in this list: the 99 contains no defender creatures, so his draw and toughness-combat abilities are offline. The deck actually plays as a Bant control/value deck whose hidden commanders are Talrand, Sky Summoner and Sigil of the Empty Throne. It wins by chaining instants, sorceries, and enchantments into flying tokens, backed by counterspells, instant-speed removal, and flicker value. Secondary paths include Panharmonicon flicker loops for card advantage and Urza's Factory as a late-game mana sink. The commander is essentially a 4-mana 3/5 flying vigilance and is not part of the engine.
