Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos treasure-ramp/combo build helmed by Smaug the Impenetrable. The primary game plan is to deal noncombat damage to Smaug (who is indestructible) using board wipes, pingers, and self-damage spells, generating massive quantities of Treasure tokens. Those Treasures are then converted into table-wide drain damage via Mirkwood Bats, Reckless Fireweaver, and Mayhem Devil, or used to fund an infinite mana loop with Pestilence/Pyrohemia and treasure multipliers like Goldspan Dragon and Xorn. A secondary path involves overwhelming combat through dragons and the Hellkite Tyrant alternate win condition. The deck relies heavily on its commander as the primary damage sink, but also leverages dragon synergies and token amplification from Academy Manufactor to grind out value.
